Raheel is a senior litigation and insolvency solicitor and a founding director of Montpelier Solicitors. Since qualifying in 2000 Raheel has for most of his career worked at Legal 100 firms based in the City. 

 

Corporate and Personal Insolvency

Raheel is a specialist in all aspects of corporate and personal insolvency having acquired considerable experience in this field.  Raheel regularly acts for insolvency practitioners in both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters as well as for company directors, creditors and debtors both nationally and internationally.

Raheel has particular expertise acting for directors in relation to disqualification proceedings under the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986 having previously prosecuted such claims on behalf of the Secretary of State.

Dispute Resolution

Raheel applies his wide range of experience to his established commercial litigation practice and is regularly instructed in relation to complex multi-party actions often with an international dimension.

​

Raheel has also acquired an excellent record of defending claims on behalf of company directors based upon alleged breaches of the Companies Act 2006 and in respect of disputes with HMRC.

​

Raheel has previously worked in Belize as a volunteer lawyer assisting the government with domestic violence legislative reform.  He has a keen interest in international development work.
